Television Show?

Sorry, that nothing was posted last night. I was talking to one of my friends from when I was like five a few nights ago, and we started talking about televisions shows, at one point we were trying to find a television that was about teachers. We did find a few "Welcome Back Kotter' and "Boston Public" Then last night I started thinking about it again...if there are so many different lawyer/cops shows on television and so many medical/doctor shows on television, why is there no show about teachers? The thing with television now even compared to four or five years ago is that all the medical and legal type shows have someone from that field working on the show. So aside from teachers, principals, and administrators who is really in the educational field? There are no Educational researchers whose sole job is, was, and always will be researching topics and issues in education, because at some point that person was in the classroom teaching. So I have come to the conclusion that the real reason that there are no television shows about teachers is because, teachers do not have the time to sit down away from the classroom or school and write a television show. If we wanted an accurate television show we would need teachers to write it, or at least somehow be involved in it because no one can make up what we/they see on a day to day basis. Another problem with that is that the rules are so different from state to state that we would need at least one person from each state in order to make the show realistic and true. I have more to say I just have to figure out how to word it, so most likely I will be back. Feel free to add your reasons why there has been no "successful" television show and/or movie about teachers.

Should we write a screenplay?
